MVMS 1st Semester Celebrations & Stories

The middle school has been busy this first semester! Lots of great things happening for students!

  • End-of-Semester Celebration: All students got to celebrate the conclusion of the semester with a movie at the Bill Metz Auditorium!
  • 1st Semester Incentive Trip: Lots of students enjoyed a special trip to the Ice Rink and Recreation Center in Alamosa on December 18th. This was our 1st Semester reward celebrating students for meeting expectations and making positive choices. We are already hard at work planning for our annual trip to a Rockies game in the spring!
  • Technology Upgrade: Thanks to the generous support of the LOR Foundation, six new smartboards (a $30,000 investment!) will soon be installed in ELA and Math classrooms across all grade levels, and we’ve also purchased three new 85″ TVs to upgrade technology in the conference room, library, and a classroom in need.
  • Student Council Food Drive: Student Council at the Middle School wrapped up a successful Canned Food Drive! The Student Council has been active this year coordinating Spirit Weeks and is currently planning a School Dance for the 3rd Quarter.
  • 8th Grade Trip: All 8th grade students took a trip to Adams State University’s engineering department for a day of learning!
