Monte Vista Pirate Marching Band brings home 2nd place!
The Monte Vista Pirate Marching Band performed their hearts out at the 2025 Colorado Bandmasters State Competition in Grand Junction on October 27th. Their show was entitled ‘When I See You Again’ and was a heartfelt dedication to the memory of our beloved band member and friend, Aiyana Chavez. The band excelled and came home with 2nd place, only 1.55 points shy of the winner. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, time, and energy that these students, directors, and families have put in this year! While they may not have brought home the gold, they did somthing bigger by crafting an emotionally powerful performance that left a lasting impact on those that were fortunate enough to get to see it!
